Foreshortening my friend
its uh hard to explain. only i think this will help you (i think). ive circled the parts where i used slight forshortening, it gives of the illusion that an object is closer.

Ok if you lot are serious... Here is your magic bullet. 1. Google "people sitting" that should give you lot plenty of reference. 2. Draw at least vi poses every mean solar day. Spend only 3 min - five min per drawing. 3. Exercise this for 2 weeks. Subsequently ii weeks mail your drawings here so nosotros can see. That my friend is how it is washed.

It looks fine for someone sitting on a ledge. Were he in a chair, there might exist more of a slouch. Try having him hunch a little more next time around.

You need to expect carefully at someone - a real person - sitting in a similar pose. Then try and do a simple line cartoon of it to capture 'where all the bits become'.

Tried looking at some pose references but I couldn't find a good pose reference. Could you lot link me to a skilful website?

Btw, for anyone wondering. I'm kinda new to poses and stuff. I'g still learning each mean solar day but some poses are but extremely hard for me. Like this pose.
